The Journey To Innovating Music Solutions
Formed initially in 2000 by Jāmin Gilbert as a collective of artists, Producers, DJs, musicians, technicians and friends generating an innovative and collaborative effort (the "Ish") and operating out of a studio in Brooklyn, NY (the "Lab"). Since then, we have attracted the attention of various businesses, media producers and music administrators who sought us out for our creative talents and for our unique perspective on the latest trends, evolutions in music, and public tastes. Our business grew and evolved by demand, as our clients needs reflected something different. Our clients spoke… we listened.
Simply put, we embrace collaborative innovation and we know music. We make it. We select it. We live it. We love it. So not only do we facilitate amazing music recording and production, but we create technologies that make it easy to access and curate the perfect songs for each unique purpose.

Ishlab is committed to the support of comprehensive music education to subsequent generations. We consider music education to be an essential need and right, not a budgetary option in the empowerment and development of our youth. Through our strategic alliance with organizations such as Project Rhythm (Reaching Youth Through Music) and through our nonprofit support program, Ishlab is able to fulfill what we view as a fundamental responsibility.
